The 5-Tier Quality Control Pipeline

No drawing, bolt schedule, or NC file ever leaves our delivery hub without progressing through five independent engineering validation gates.

01
Stage 1: Project Proposal

Project Proposal & Scope Estimation

Detailed structural contract document review, RFP scope breakdown, preliminary material estimating (MTO), and execution milestone alignment before kickoff.

  • Architectural & structural drawing scope audit
  • Preliminary material take-off (MTO) & tonnages
  • AISC, NISD, & project spec compliance check
  • Milestone scheduling & RFI risk evaluation
02
Stage 2: 3D Modeling

SDS/2 & Tekla 3D Model Construction

Primary member geometry modeled directly against contract architectural, civil, and structural design drawings in SDS/2 and Tekla Structures.

  • Grid alignment & elevation verifications
  • Clash checks with MEP & concrete models
  • Connection forces & reaction load inputs
  • Standardized profile & material grading
03
Stage 3: Detailing

Assembly & Part Sheet Generation

Detailers configure shop assembly sheets, erection layouts, piece marks, weld symbols, and automated NC DSTV files.

  • Running dimensions & hole spacing checks
  • Weld sizing per AWS D1.1 standards
  • Camber orientations and mill tolerances
  • Fastener accessibility and wrench clearance
04
Stage 4: Deep Verification

Independent Peer Checking

Senior checkers with 15+ years of steel shop experience independently back-check every dimension and detail against contract plans.

  • AISC & NISD line-by-line markups
  • Field bolt schedule keg quantity audit
  • Anchor bolt and embed layout match
  • CNC plate nested kerf & bevel checks
05
Stage 5: Sign-off

Squad Lead & PE Seal

Final audit by the Squad Leader and licensed Professional Engineer, verifying all RFI responses and sealing connection calculations.

  • Complete RFI tracking log reconciliation
  • PE stamped connection calculation pack
  • Fabricator delivery package bundling (16 files)
  • Fabrication release notification transmission
Lifecycle Workflow
